Judge Joseph G. FabrizioJudge Fabrizio is a graduate of Michigan State University, College of Lyman Briggs (B.S.), and University of Detroit Mercy School of Law (J.D., cum laude).

Judge Fabrizio was elected to the 52nd District Court in November 2008 and took office January 1, 2009. He has served as a presiding judge of the court where he manages a full criminal and civil docket. In January 2018, he was appointed Chief Judge for the 52nd District Courts. He participates in specialty courts and diversionary programs including Sobriety Court and Teen Court. Judge Fabrizio is actively involved in mock trial and training programs for law school students as well as high school and elementary children. He is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, the Oakland County Bar Association and the Michigan District Judge's Association. In December 2012, he was nominated by his peers to serve as President of the Oakland County District Judge's Association.

Prior to his public service in the judiciary, he was a lawyer and managing partner with the law firm of Fabrizio & Brook, P.C. He is licensed as an attorney in the State of Michigan as well as numerous federal courts, including the United States Supreme Court. He is actively involved in several charitable and non-profit organizations including the Clarkston Conservatory of Music and Clarkston SCAMP. He is married with four children and is a lifelong resident of Clarkston.
