The Combat Veterans Treatment Court (C-VTC) was established in accordance with MCL 600.1200 and under LAO 2015-01 on February 3rd, 2015. This docket is assigned to Circuit Court Judge Nanci Grant.

The Combat Veterans Treatment Court will assist eligible United States military veterans in meeting the terms and conditions of their probation by providing judicial oversight, case management team assistance, mentoring, mental health and substance abuse treatment, as well as readjustment counseling. The Combat Veterans Treatment Court complies with the ten key components of a veterans court as referenced in MCL 600.1201(1).

Potential participants are identified by criminal defense attorneys and are referred to the probation agent for program eligibility assessment. Additionally, representatives from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs may meet with veterans to discuss the various programs available to them including C-VTC. Potential participants must be honorably or medically discharged with combat service and no significant prior criminal history to be eligible for consideration.
