About

Family-friendly waterpark offers multiple attractions: Wave-action pool; triple-flume waterslide; River Ride; and SplashTown featuring a children's splash pad with 52 interactive water features, including a water play climber with slides and a dumping bucket. The wave pool and River Ride are heated. Oakland County Parks lifeguards are trained through the Jeff Ellis and Associates International Lifeguard Training Program and are licensed by Ellis to work at OCP facilities. Lifeguards take part in an initial 24 hours of training, 10 hours of orientation, on-site training and 10 hours of shadowing a veteran lifeguard on duty at the pool. Lifeguards are required to attend ongoing in-service training throughout the summer to ensure their lifeguard skills continue to be top-notch. Management staff oversees the lifeguards daily.
