Stay-At-Home Order

The Sheriff’s Office is actively working to educate and allow for compliance before any sanctions are given. We are not pulling people over and asking about travels. To do such a thing would be unconstitutional and not helpful for a variety of reasons. We ask everyone to familiarize themselves with the order and limit ALL unnecessary travel. Be advised the Governor is making frequent changes to orders and restrictions (view all Executive Orders that are current for the State of Michigan). Additionally, there is often interpretation questions of these various orders which must be referred to the Governor’s Office. Please visit Michigan.gov/coronavirus for all up-to-date information. Please always practice social distancing when outside of your residence.

Reporting Violations of the Governor’s Executive Order

A Deputy will be dispatched to investigate the complaint and advise anyone in violation of the order. A report will be generated and forwarded to the Oakland County Health Division and ultimately, the Michigan Attorney General’s Office.
